Those are some awesome covers. I especially like these:
The Louvin Brothers “Satan is Real” - But on our album cover he is a cartoon -a really bad cartoon.
And someone tell Father Robert White that the pipe adds a nice, personal touch to the cover.
And Mike Crain seems to be auditioning for the Power Team with his cover.
Freddie Gage - Nice boots !!
But my favorite, The Kings Three -with four members. One of these guys needs to get saved, quick.
On a more current note -although this album is several years old, I have to smile every time I see the following Sanctus Real cover for their album “Say It Loud”. Hopefully, the following link will give you a look at it. I couldn’t attach my scan of the cover.

The “Reverend in Rhythm” album sounds/looks pretty interesting, actually. Maybe it’s the pipe.
The Christian Crusaders need capes.

Those Louvin Brothers look to be having much too good a time there amidst Beelzebub and the burning coal and what not. Maybe hell’s just a really bad duet?

Where can I find a smoking jacket like the one Father Robert White has. He is one cool cat. Although, before I enlarged the photo on Marcy Sings, it looked like she was not wearing anything. I thought, “good thing the sticker was there” and then I thought “What else does Marcy do. What Kind of Gospel Album is this” Anyway, I digress

If you liked that, Marc over at Purgatorio has a regular post called “Divine Vinyl” that has some of these same people and their covers. I get it in my feed reader and it always brightens my day in a sick kind of way.
